Before Twilight became an alicorn, she created a clone of herself via her magic. The clone eventually went rogue, telling the original that she had other plans before she escaped to Canterlot High and disappeared without a single trace. A year later, “Clone Twilight” assumed the identity of Ghostface (costume and all) and murdered a small number of people. It was then that Clone Twilight found a new stabbing target: Sunset Shimmer.
