Ugh. You have to take the word “Princess” and utterly change it from it’s real meaning in order to bring any truth or positivity to this message. And that’s a lotta work for us viewers. Can you repost this with a more correct message OP?

There is truth in the above, though given the governmental structure of most of the world and peoples negativity towards the idea of being princess, one just needs to consider that the above can be translated into the idea, “Anyone can be a leader”.
 
As such, I argue the above isn’t a lie.

What i meant is that Twilight becoming an Alicorn “says” that you do not need to conform to some standard, pretty, blond, rich etc, to be special. Which is think is a nice lesson for little girls.

That’s an interesting point, but it’s never occurred to me that a group of people as rare and privileged as royalty needs to be defended from society’s prejudice.

I dislike Twilicorn as much as the next guy but for the sake of fun, i will be the devil´s advocate.  
Generally the princess title is awarded to the same stereotypycal brain dead blonde/cute girl.  
Twilight on the other hand is the smart socially akward girl that most people ignore. The kind of girls who is neglected as a side character in most forms of media. Yet here she became the princess.  
So yeah in some way it says that you do not need to be the cute girl to be “special” or “loved”.

I mean, being the favored student of the reigning magical sovereign and a uniquely gifted unicorn, you were really as close to a Princess as a pony could get without being born to it. Really, the wings were a formality.
