You can’t copyright a single word, you can only trademark it, and we have proof (By lack of any application or claim in the US Patent/Trademakr office) that no such claim has been processed yet. If they ‘‘did’’ try to claim it now, they would probably lose to the generic use of the term we’ve used it for 3+ years now.
I’ll be honest, IDK shit about copyright law, but… are you saying we have proof now that Hasbro didn’t copyright anything?
Important point: Zazzle is the one claiming that Hasbro has the claim on the word Brony (which clearly is not the case, as there’s no trademark on that word alone).
Look it up.They haven’t.

Gotcha.
Long story short, Hasbro is claiming that it owns the copyright to the word “brony”, while /mlp/’s anons have conflicting evidence.
There’s a possibility Hasbro has copywritten the word “brony”. I think it’s just Zazzle catching on that “brony” = MLP = Hasbro, myself.
