I didn’t know what.
Also, did you know that Konami developed a Tag Force game that includes all five series and also the last YGO game to be developed on the PSP and literally the last PSP game ever released?(PSP’s stopped producing two years ago but still making games. However, some of these games are Japan exclusive just like this one) It is called Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V:Tag Force Special.(if you want to play this game in English well don’t worry there is an existing fan translation version.)More interestingly, this game was released in January 2015(a year after the PSP ceased production).
That would have been cool.
If only Funimation dubbed it in the first place, this will never happened. Its just my opinion though.
Different cultures, different tastes, I guess. Plus giving it a dumbed down dub didn’t help.
I don’t get it that why Zexal and Arc V were getting so much hate on America and 5Ds is getting so much like in America also. But in Japan, its the opposite.Maybe the Americans hate it because of the dub or maybe some other reasons.
The returning characters from the other seasons are just fan service. Which makes me wonder why Four wasn’t among them, but I guess it would be too on-the-nose. And I guess they abandoned the monster interactivity as it became too difficult for write about while not messing well with the story they wanted to tell.
I do agree with the riding duels being a bit off putting. The speed adds nothing but convoluted situations, and a sense of trying too hard to be cool.
Yes, we do.
Neither truly lost their parents. Yuma’s mum (who exists for the sake of existing) Yuma’s dad and Yuya’s dad are still alive. And it probably is a coincidence Yuya’s and Yuma’s name begins with Y. Why? I dunno.
And I heard that Arc V has also returning characters from the original series(Duel Monsters),GX,5Ds,and Zexal. And also uh did they slowly abandoned the “monster interactivity” as the story progresses and replaced it with the over-reliance of Action Cards? But why? I love the idea of the “monster interactivity” it looks like a step forward for the series.
And also,I only watched some few eps of 5Ds and this riding duel is a little bit……off in the series imo.
And about the Zexal dub (and most of the English dub of YGO series),I think we all know who is behind of all this crappy dubs.Well I can’t say it because you already know who, right?
Arc V and Zexal were too safe and kiddy? Well I can agree on your opinion because of the main characters personalities.Wait is it just me or both Yuya and Yuma lost their dad (as for Yuma’s case his mom and dad),and had a name that starts with letter Y? Coincidence?
The dubbed version of Zexal does suck. They think the ‘X’ in the title is part of the name instead of representing the method introduced in the show.
As for Arc V, the interactivity with the monsters fades away as the show progresses; replaced with the over-reliance of Action Cards and intrusions. Plus, later on, whole worlds revolve not just around the game itself, but methods of summoning; sans ritual.
I’m not a fan of riding duels (turbo duels in the dub), but at least the season it debuted in was mature (by Yu-Gi-Oh!’s standards). Arc-V and Zexal, however, too safe and kiddy IMHO.
I just watched the first four eps and all I can say is the duel is more interactive than the previous titles and it makes it more epic.I can’t believe that few of the YGO fans hated this show than 5Ds.(Seriously? Dueling on a motorcycle? Does that make any sense? Well, the American fans liked this show for some reason). As for Zexal, well it was well received by both fans from America and Japan but the dubbed version sucks in my opinion.
