GERMANY WINS :D
Bronies remember the first time watching RD
playing soccer?
Was during EG!
Concept taken from a spin-off to main series.
Handegg 2.0
What is rugby, then?
There, argument settled.
But Rubgy is not American Football. They’re similar, but not the same. So it’s not really an equivalent, but more so a different version (for lack of a better word).
Rugby ≠ American Football. However, Soccer = everywhere else Football.
IIRC, The European equivalent of American (or it’s proper term gridiron) Football is rugby, one of the key differences between the two is the down and distance as well as forward passing in the air with a quarterback. They’re all related to soccer.
Association Football -> Rugby -> Austrailan Rules-> Gridiron (American) Football
Yeah I forgot they have American Football too.
Same in Canada.
This is American Football. There really is no other equivalent since Europe doesn’t really play it (as far as I’m aware anyways).
This is actual football to the rest of the world, but we in America call it soccer.
Could be, but I also remember her playing with a ball back in S1
All countries in europe calls soccer as football often in their translated version.
But they don’t have feet!
Callback, or just a coincidence?
Football outside of America is what America calls ‘soccer’. They just switch.
“American football” is what they call the game in most countries. There are multiple countries that call the sport “soccer” by the way. Not just English-speaking ones either, Japan does.
Then what’s ‘football’ in other countries, Rugby?
The most populous English-speaking country doesn’t get to use their name, which actually comes from British slang? Ooookay…
I know, I just find it hilarious that it gets that tag all because one country on this planet calls it that.
Uh, that’s because in every other country besides the US, they call soccer “football”.
