are you sure about that? I can imagine that she will have “lost” Twilight in a much different way:

“You made me realize that by being nice to others and letting ponies into my life… they’ll just die. But still, thank you for showing me that there is a part of me that can feel like this. Because now that I know where to find it, I’ve killed it forever. So thank you. Thank you for freeing me.”

And even if she does, who’s to say that it will be inherently nihilistic:  

While I don’t believe for a moment that Twilight, or even Cadance, is immortal (my headcanon is that only Celestia and Luna are immortal due to being created in a different manner from other alicorns, whereas Cadance was naturally born an alicorn, ignoring the “Crystal Heart Spell” book, and Twilight ascended, so they’re still mortal), think about it. Even if Twilight ISN’T immortal… it’s still a very real possibility that she would still outlive the rest of her friends. After all, you never know when death comes calling.

no, she wont. But if they were aiming for this show to be realistic, Twilight definitely would be…its logic and all the wiki’s point to it.

yes, apparently (or according to wiki) Celestia has lived for thousands of years because of her alicorn type. Normal ponies (im not exactly sure) dont live close to that long. In the first episode  
“The day of Nightmare Moon’s return is also the 1,000 year anniversary of the Summer Sun Celebration” Twilight obviously didnt live since that long ago, but Luna and Celestia did, hence twilights extended life now.

Given the fact that Celestia and Luna are thousands of years old? It would seem that way. So, unless they make it canon otherwise, it would seem Twilight will live for thousands of years as well, far outliving her friends.
