No, they were just usually disillusioned with teaching it because it went from idealistic “I’m gonna inspire kids and show them the wonders of chemistry” to the harsh realization that you’re just force feeding a bunch of disinterested students stuff that they don’t give a shit about so they can pass a standardized test while politicians keep making cutbacks in funding.
What the… Is it like “I’m only doing this for the money. I don’t really like it.”?

Really? Where the hell did you guys go to school? I went through like 4 different school systems growing up and they all just droned on dispassionately about whatever subject the class was about.

Indeed. I even thought about being a garbage man. Most of the routes you don’t even get out of the truck, all you do is just push a button and a big arm lifts the trash up and into the truck. You don’t have to touch it or even get close to it. Also even though you are working about 10 hours a day you can make about 45k a year, decent pay but not enough for me.
At least previously garbage ponies had to deal with more crap… though with current trends I am not so sure.

You too huh? My schools glorified Christopher Columbus. None of my books or teachers taught me the rest of the story until high school.

I got the other end of the stick. My school never ceased to shut up about America, and how good we were.
