Well what do you expect at that stage of pony development? Even a staunch abolitionist like Abraham Lincolt believed that while zebras may be people too, they’re certainly a lesser kind of person than ponies.

It still doesn’t help. In fact, while cute in the show, when looked at more seriously, it just adds to my theory that ponies are extremely prejudiced towards the non-pony species of Equestria.

Normally I’d agree, but in this case it fits the story. This is supposed to be a “Lyra’s a human that was turned into a pony”-verse and Bon Bon, believing she just has amnesia, is and has been coaching her on being a pony again.
I’m sorry, but it really bugs me when a character uses any/somebody/one in a sentence and then a pony corrects it to any/somePONY. It just serves to make them sound INCREDIBLY bigoted.
It’s just a running gag that’s about to run it’s course. I won’t beat on that much longer, don’t worry. :3
