To each their own, but to me the aesthetics look off, which is why I like kilala97’s humanizations more than Glaco’s. It’s not racist.
Just a style preference.
I don’t care for horned humanizations all that much, but I do love when humanized Pegasi and Alicorns are still given their wings.
I can’t speak for anyone but myself, but I like that many artists try to make humanized unicorns and earth ponies visually distinct. Is that racist of me?
True. But the people who are going to be viewing the art generally know what race the person you’re humanizing is, so it shouldn’t be an issue that much.
But how would you know they’re unicorns when they aren’t using magic? A unicorn’s horn is always visible, even when they aren’t using magic (except when they’re wearing a hat). THAT is the purpose of the “elf ears”.
I prefer just having them look normal, but then demonstrating magic through their hands.
Like this pleasant fellow.
I never would have noticed if you hadn’t taken them off.
and thusly it became my fetish. carry on.
A few artists do that. It’s just it doesn’t look as good on male unicorns.
There’s always my option:
I’ve seen that often, just as a way of marking them as being magical.
Yep
Rarity tends to get messy a lot more than AJ gets fancied up. More artists should be taking advantage of this.
