You could actually be true what you’re saying but the only problem is it princess Celestia wouldn’t want to do that I bet she would want to protect her but pretending to be pregnant with twilight would not really make sense
That might be true that twilight wouldn’t come back but remember this I don’t think princess celestial would eat twilight for that I think she would just do that to protect twilight or because the Westin never had a baby before and she really wanted to have a baby and she never had one so maybe she decided that she could pretend that she was having a baby even though she wasn’t
I don’t think that’s how she became an Alicorn a Celestia a Twilight Sparkle to make her an Alicorn then twilight wouldn’t come back Etc and then There would be no reason to have twilight sparkle making friends if she died in Princess Celestia stomach
