Regardless of everything posted here, can I just say that I’m glad that One Piece is finally getting the respect it deserves with Funimation? I mean, I’ve only picked up this series less than a year ago, and it’s already among my Top 10 of shows watched ever.

Digimon was a very, very budget series at the time. It was commissioned to Toei by Bandai for ridiculously cheap to promote their latest card game and toy brand.
 
That said, Adventure and 02 are compelling enough in terms of characters that it’s easy to overlook the animation. Plus the titular Digimon themselves are extremely cool: while mons were not a very original concept in the time (Pokemon and Monster Rancher were both airing), Digimon took the idea and ran it in a completely new direction.
 
I actually like Adventure 02 a lot more than most people do. Despite the numerous plot holes, it two villains who were not only human, but had infinitely more depth than any bad guy in adventure.

Personally, I think there are other aspects of seasons 1-4 that haven’t aged as well. Except for Tamers. I can’t think of anything bad to say about Tamers, dub or otherwise.
 
Adventure and Adventure 02:
 
THE ANIMATION. Dear GOD, the animation of those two seasons has not held up well AT ALL.
 
The clumsy story arcs, particularly Adventure 02. Adventure had a similar problem near the end (Apocalymon was supposed to be built up a good deal more), but it plagued Adventure 02 throughout its entire run. Neither of these was the fault of the dub, though.
 
Frontier:
 
…Well, okay, I never got particularly far in that one. Though I actually liked the idea of the humans turning into Digimon. But I HAVE heard of the infamous “Royal Knights” arc.

but the thing is…I’ve never said a thing about season 1-4 and I have only talked about my dislike for Fusion and The Movie and, well Fusion isn’t exactly Nostalgic

This guy is consistantly talking shit about Digimon’s English dub, the show of my childhood. I cannot in any circumstance forgive him for that.

I don’t mind him having an opinion. I just don’t want to see him obnoxiously posting it among other images.
 
Give me an option to filter uploads by user, and I’d be perfectly fine. But we don’t have that, so I can’t do anything but complain and hope to god he goes away.

||no but seriously, when it comes to dubs vs subs, I am actually very neutral; I know people have their preferances - some want the original atmosphere…only certain dubbing companies gets on my nerves - 4kids is dead, so really the only focus left is on Saban…and they just haven’t impress me with their half of Zexal or Digimon Fusion and from what little I heard, not impressed so far of “Glitter Force”…as well as the fuck ups that messed with Pilidrama
