Stuck between worlds, randomly popping up in different mirrors in both, probably as the opposite form (mirrors in Equestria see the human, mirrors there see the pony), desperately trying to find a way out.
Or they find another gateway to yet another world…
The same thing that happened in Primeval when a raptor had it’s head cut off when the portal closed.
Or the mirror shattered on the receiving end. Bloody mess, probably.
I think there’s a huge gap in space between portals…which brings up the horrible question on what would happen if the magic closed up while the person was traveling through.
