Yeah, but that’s considered “non-canon,” and an “alternate timeline/universe” in the comic. So Sonic marrying Sally isn’t fated to happen. (Otherwise Sega never would’ve let them do that.)  
Granted he did flirt with some gals in the campy AoStH cartoon, and in the SatA.M. universe he and Sally flirted a bit, and in the comic, as well, but in the game universe, (where Sally doesn’t exist) the closest he came to being romantic with somebody was with Princess Elise. (And we all know how fans loved that.)  
Sonic and Amy also had a rather “shippy” moment in the “Sonic X” anime, (which is also a separate universe from the games, regardless what some fans of it insist) but oddly after that it was ignored in every episode afterword like it never happened.

this may have been creative at first but now its just plain annoying
