Well, you’ve only played electronic music in the show, so I’m guessing it’s a safe assumption.

She plays pop music on the show.

In my head Vinyl doesn’t have a talent as a DJ - that’s just what she likes to do - but rather her special talent is of a Sound Engineer. If you want a place rigged up for sound - any sound, be it classical, electronic or even just announcements, you come to her. if you want something recorded, mixed, edited, dubbed, played… then you come to her.
 
Also in my head is the idea that her parents/grandparents/whatever are like… ponies who design music halls and stuff - working with natural acoustics rather than sound systems.

I bet she likes House, Electronica, Trance, Alternative techno upfunkstep, SynthJazz Rock, and Indie Ravepunk
