Rarity is class as fuck. Spy is classy as fuck. Both have impeccable sense of style. And on a personal note, Rarity strikes me as someone who would avoid ‘dirty’ personal combat like the soldier or demoman, and would rather get behind someone, do her work, and get out.
Besides, combat is just torture on her mane.

In terms of why Pinkie is the Pyro, do yourself a favor and watch the “Meet the Pyro” video.
I like Derpy for Soldier. As a lot of people like to portray Derpy as a little detached from reality, and the Soldier is the most detached from reality of the team. Also AJ generally gets pegged as engie, because they’re both roughly the same stereotype, even though the details vary considerably.
