Exactly what I thought. When i saw Pipp’s design i thought, bas ass royal from an island of warrior pegasi. Then they called her an “influencer” and it became, Media obsessed youth, only famous for being famous.

Everyone’s been talking about Influencer Smurf and Smurfette being voiced by Rihanna, but I’m just baffled they’re doing the exact same story that was done 14 years ago. Sony already made a live action-CGI hybrid movie about the Smurfs coming to the real world back in 2011, and now Paramount is making a movie that’s practically identical to that. The only notable difference is that the Smurfs are animated in a more “cartoony” CGI style instead of a realistic style.

Curse of influencer characters. Because real life influencers ruined our perception on the entire group of said people in general. So yeah, there is no such thing as a good influencer no matter their good personal intent.
