From what I understand the whole brony joke with Pat was probably never serious to begin with. If it was serious then he was only into the show during season 1 and that’s it, otherwise I get the feeling this was Matt and Pat’s way of making a brony joke. Despite what Matt may say at times, he’s got nothing against MLP or bronies even though he’s not into the show himself. I mean heck they were so impressed by 2Snacks’ MLP parodies that they hired him as one of their main animators (with Plague of Gripes now being another common animator of TBFP stuff).
