DarkMech is Best Mech
I think the average balloon would collect a LOT of blood before the pressure equalized with the rest of your circulatory system and kept more blood from exiting the wound, which would make it pretty far inferior to almost any other anti-bleeding tool.
It COULD save your life, I guess, if it was a finger?
If the severed limb is an arm or leg you’d need a pretty big balloon to get the mouth over the remaining part, which means it’s going to take so much blood to fill it that you’ll bleed out anyway, right?

I think a balloon is likely not going to help much or at all, I watched my dad bleed out internally (he survived, it was a ruptured aortic aneurysm) and his whole body swelled up massively.
