What possible reason would Hasbro have for doing something like this? They aren’t a dictatorship, I’m sure they can take some digital abuse from a single image board without resorting to tactics that would make the CIA blush.
 
Also, “to get rid of a huge source of support for Faust”. What is she going to do with that support, attempt a coup to take back FiM? That’s not how television works.
