Yeah, you’re right.  
I feel kinda sad, because the bad writing let in me a bitter taste, specially in series that I like. I mean, is not like Celestia or Luna were really useful in the series, is like all the contrary. But seriously, giving to Twilight all the work to her without a real motive behind? Is the friendship that powerful? Sorry, but, what a mess.

Don’t know why, I guess bad writing just never leaves any impressions on me. The very idea that Twilight the neurotic mess would somehow be granted both Celestia and Luna’s duties in S9 was absolutely bs and the entire fandom knows it.
