Day 23 of drawing. Robert Palmer - Addicted To Love

My final entry for the EQG Rainbow Rocks 10th Anniversary Art Event. It’s past the deadline, but I’ve been uploading images for this event all month so this is just me finishing what I started.

I learned so much working on this image. I can’t wait to use what I learned this month on new images.

Thank you all so much for your feedback and comments! This is something I’ve wanted to do forever - like, since the 90’s I’ve wanted to recreate that music video somehow, and I think that I worked through a decade worth of emotional therapy just getting this done.

So it feels great to be here ^_^

Hmmm, Sonata playing bass left-handed? And with a Marshall head yet! (actually, quite a lot of artists do Sonata as a leftie for some reason. But you really should have given her a Fender or a Peavey, not a Marshall).

Right? Oh my gosh I just realized that today. I flipped her because I wanted to give Aria some more space, but I completely forgot that she would be fretting with her right hand now!

And, it is a Marshall head, isn’t it? I think a Peavey would definitely have been better though … to be honest though as I was drawing it I was thinking of a Larrivée R2, which absolutely doesn’t look anything like that, and Larrivée doesn’t make electric basses … so … I think I got lost in Sonata’s eyes again 9_9

This has been a pretty good series of images, all in all.

Love how you decided to add real textures to the speakers, Sunset’s Jacket and Aria’s skirt. This is a truly mesmerizing effort you did along during the event, how much you’ve created and got to this beautiful point, you must’ve been very passionate about drawing and having this goal, but now, it is time to have some rest or go nuts with more beautiful art! おめでとうございます，しあらん-せんぱい
