That is only true for a few species.
Unlike other fish, sharks do not have a way to pump water over their gills to extract oxygen from the water, instead sharks must always be moving so the water will enter their mouth and pass over their gills. In other words, if a shark can’t swim forward, it will suffocate.
Those don’t look like bubbles, those look more like cracks.
It’s in many old shark books and spread by word of mouth.

Where did you hear that? It’s made from cod, not shark.
It’s a fish. Of course there are people who would eat it.
Most fish and chips is made from shark meat. And I still eat it.
