Imagine if this is how Season 6 ended.
Instead of Chrysalis vowing revenge on Starlight, the changeling queen would just get her shot in right then and there, and turn Starlight into a Changeling drone. She’d basically be Chrysalis’ new Thorax.
The Season 7 premiere would then be the Mane 6 (accompanied by Thorax, Trixie and Discord) heading back to Chrysalis’ hive and trying to get Starlight back to her old self. It would end with Starlight not being able to become a pony again, but instead becoming a Changedling. Her personality would be back to what it was before Chrysalis perma-cursed her, but she’d be a Changedling forevermore. (The map would still treat her like a pony AND she’d get her cutie mark back on her flank once turned into a Changedling, though.)
I’d find that to be better than how Celestial Advice handled things. Seriously, that should’ve been the episode after the premiere, in my honest opinion.
