Hmph I see, so that’s how it is, although I’ve learned how to deal with phone call ever since owning a phone, I later realize by instinct that the tone of voices can be a way to read emotions to some degree.
I get stressed out about the phone calls because it breaks my flow and it sounds weird through the crunchy tone. There are often stakes as well, i.e. making an erroneous decision because you want to be spontaneous on a phone call.

Autistic people often have a lot of trouble with phone calls, because there’s little too read in terms of understanding the other person (no body language etc), so an autistic person making a phone call and not being distressed by it is often an accomplishment.
