Did you even read my post? I gave five reasons they might prefer our world to theirs. You seem to have responded as if I were talking about the reverse.
By comparison all we’d have to offer is the technology, everything else is crap

Because they’re bored there? Because we’ve got better stuff? Because our world offers new challenges? Because they don’t like being around all the sweetness of where they live? Because all the sweetness is a farce and it’s actually a crappy place to live?
Come on, it’s not that hard to come up with reasons why a character might not like where they live or might want to move somewhere else.
Why would anyone want to leave a world of magic, friendship, and near-world peace for a world where there is nothing but death, war, and selfishness.
Bring us the girl and wipe away the debt

That was a good book.
Don’t get me wrong, I realize our world sucks… but, goddamnit, it doesn’t suck THAT much.
