Description

To be russian is to have your strategic nuclear bombers blown up by crowdfunded Ukrainian drones.
What is bavovna? In russian newspeak, the word for “explosion” is forbidden and replaced with a word for “clap”. However, the russian word for “clap” is spelled the same as the word for “cotton”, only pronounced with a different emphasis - “хлопОк” vs “хлОпок”. Ukrainian news reporters exploit this when commenting on explosions in russia and use the Ukrainian word for “cotton” - “бавовна” or “bavovna”.

I reported an anon for using the word “oink” in Russian. I learned online that pigs are used as a stereotype of Ukrainian people by Russians.
Most likely cos they might be a Russian, who’s angry over the picture mocking the losses of the Russian army in Ukraine. So they post hateful comments at any artwork from Ukrainian artists.
It’s also cos Derpibooru (like the brony and Warhammer fandoms) has lots of fans from Russia. It’s better discussed at the politics section, though.

Furthermore, there are also some euphemisms due to the war. russians sometimes use “gruz/cargo 200” for “a russian soldier has died”.
