Since seeing this, I feel like Aria isn’t the radio type. She gives off a vibe of not caring much for music that isn’t her own. But I could be wrong

Oh my goodness, everything about this is adorable and wonderful, plus the bonus of Sonata joyfully dicking about on a swivel chair. I love this comic so much!

You’re literally the first person to point that out to me in my entire life. But my problem isn’t just with blue. It’s with almost any in-between colors. I have difficulty interpreting different shades and tints.
Adagio comes across as someone who was easily bored, but wouldn’t show it. And her sisters annoy her to no end because she’s generally the leader and the smartest. A radio would be the perfect distraction to her. She wouldn’t have to look at it, just sit there with her eyes closed and unwind. She’s definitely the radio type. At least for back when radio was the biggest thing around.

It never ceases to amaze me how much attention some people who read my stuff pay to details. :) (It just means I have to try hard to get everything right as much as I can!)
@SwingtownDerp
You’ve put a lot of thought into this! That is definitely an area that I haven’t explored enough. I shall have to think on that…

For instance a family car we used to have looked silver to me. But it was actually silver with a bit of purple in it. And I never noticed until someone pointed it out and made me look closely.
You’re a boy, aren’t you. The protein needed for blue receptors in the eye lives on the X chromasome, and if it’s damaged males don’t have a backup copy like females do. So weak blue vision (which sounds like what you’re describing) isn’t uncommon in males.
Adagio gives off a mixed vibe that I’m guessing would make her the kind of person who really enjoyed radio after it’s invention.
Hmmm, not really seeing Dagi as a big fan of Amos & Andy, Tom Mix, Guiding Light or other early radio serials.

I wonder where the door next to the sliding glass door goes?
I like the view out of the window. Like a fish in a bowl or like a basin for.. a siren.
This appartment has so many light sources. At least 4 from the top (maybe 6), oddly place in the corner of a tile, plus one in the kitchen (limited by an invisable lamp shade), one lonely on the wall near the door, and three extra lamp on different furnitures (behind Aria, left of Adagio, another only visable in the glass door). Not counting the natural light source from the sliding glass door, the light inside microwave, oven or toaster. They must be afraid of the dark.
Uuuuh! I found a logical error! In the panel where Sonata is playing helicopter, behind Aria next to the sliding door, there is another wooden door, that would also lead outside. It’s definetly a pool-apartment. When it rains outside, it will flood the room through the glass door, raising high to the power plug, electrifying the water.
I’m just enjoy myself by over-analysing everything. I realy like your stuff. Just continue like you did before.

I too am partially colorblind. I have trouble differentiating various shades and in-between colors. For instance a family car we used to have looked silver to me. But it was actually silver with a bit of purple in it. And I never noticed until someone pointed it out and made me look closely.
Sonata would be the easy choice in talking about things like arcades. And I don’t think she’d surprise many what with her happy go lucky personality. I’d actually go with Aria for that when she’s high. A lot of people I’ve known that smoked pot would want to play something they don’t usually when high. Old videogames were one of them. And Aria could play something like Pacman on a modern arcade emulator while naked and high as a kite, and be shockingly good at it. For Sonata, shocking people with a familiarity for chess would definitely surprise them. However Adagio feels more like the chess type. She gives off the vibe of “I learned to play it when I was bored back when we were traveling by covered wagon”. And would likely only start playing again in a more passive way with her boyfriend.
For reference on how an immortal behaves, I’d watch the Highlander movies or something. I remember that when they reminisced, it was often about the times from before they became immortal, or right after they did. After that, they only seemed to remember things at random. Like a drunken duel in the 18th century over a insult on someone’s wife. Or meeting a friend for the first time in a hundred years. Highlanders noticeably only seemed attached to the era they came from. But for a Siren, they were long lived from birth. So they may have no real lingering attachment to any time period. Although Sonata showing interest stuff from the last 30 years of the 20th century would not surprise me. Sontata strikes me as the kind of person who would have really enjoyed the 80s. Adagio gives off a mixed vibe that I’m guessing would make her the kind of person who really enjoyed radio after it’s invention. And Aria gives off a strong late 90s vibe. That period of the 90s that wasn’t all about neon colors, but more about technology like Gameboy and stuff.

Good point(s). Among other things, I have been meaning to have Sonata confuse the boys by referencing coin operated arcade machines. And a long, long time ago, she’d be all about daughts and nine-pony-morris and that sort of thing. And chess, but she’s not great at it. Gamer for life!
Dial telephones! Altho I suspose for today’s generation, any telephone with a wire would be strange and old-fashioned.
I’ll bet Sonata is surprisingly good at cribbage. As is Aria. Dagi is frequently a muggins.
(draughts = checkers, for American readers)

But yeah, I suppose you can get nostalgic for your childhood, but it’s less common (without some specific reason) to get nostalgic for relatively recent (based on your lifespan) times of your life, unless it was better than the present for some reason. And while not immortal, the Sirens are very old by pony standards.
I’m glad the colours work! I wish I could take credit for that. I’m partly colourblind, so I often have to guess, or use colour theory to try to make something look good. So it’s nice when it works out!

@Stellarator
Honestly I think you’re doing fine with things. If you stayed looking like you were 20 years old for centuries, you wouldn’t cling to much of past generations. People mostly feel nostalgia for past decades because they look back on youth. But if you were forever young, each decade would just be like reading a chapter in a book to you when you look back on it. The Sirens adapted to each generation because they lived a very nomadic lives until recently. They had no time to stop anywhere and get attached to anyone or anything until they lost most of their powers. To them an apartment from the 70s isn’t nostalgic, or old, or retro. It’s just an ordinary apartment. And they treat it as such. If anything the 70s style background colors help the colors of their skin, hair and clothes pop. Kinda like how in the Cat In The Hat how they made sure not to use certain colors for anything other than what was related to the cat. I love the retro apartment as a setting. And would like to see the Sirens show familiarity with some older stuff like vinyl records and 8 bit video games, or even feather pens. But I wouldn’t make them nostalgic for them. Thus far they’ve not shown nostalgia for anything other than how they used to live as predators when they still fed off negativity. The future of how they adapt and find ways to deal with their boredom other than sex and singing is what I’m curious about. Well…That and whether or not their lifespans and biology was effected by losing their gems.

I’m guessing it was Sonata that put the plastic ketchup and mustard bottles on the stove, where at some point they’re going to get overheated and melt and make a big smokey mess. But at least she has a chair with wheels, for a quick escape (weee!)

Adagio, Queen of De-Nile. LOL! Anyway, I rather like for some reason that their apartment looks like it’s right out of the 70s. I suppose generationally speaking, the Sirens would know what it was like to live through that decade
