Which wouldn’t be incorrect. Dragons were essentially impossible to harm, with the only life threatening situation being young dragons getting eaten, or drowning. Nothing else leaves any manner of lasting damage on even youngsters. All those gags of slamming Spike around are honestly a showcase of how even a “runt” of a dragon is nearly indestructible.

Most people call that “Slice Of Life”, and almost every poll shows a majority of the fandom prefer that kind of storytelling to Lore Episodes.
