One trick that’s very fast is to just make a copy of each individual path shape that is right underneath the other, set to the “erase” filter. You don’t have to worry about any real trickery to make the picture work, but the one tradeoff is every shape will have a little bit of “fuzziness” between the parts so you have to work at a really high resolution to hide it :P

Wow, SVG looks way better with this effect than when I save them as PNG. PNG always has those little fuzzy artifacts around some of the edges XD
