That shift from rage and the knee-jerk reaction to the pain and regret
 
“They were…” and the first word that comes to mind is ‘pretty’.
 
God, watching that struggle is truly heartbreaking.  
It’s done really well, and I love how you can practically read Purple’s thoughts as they have them.
 
Hopefully our pained purple protagonist procures peace of mind and finds happiness.
 
I’m on the edge of my seat in suspsense waiting for the next page.
