I meant that Starlight altered the timeline, so she is, by definition, a variant.
In the show a verdict referred to things that went against the sacred timeline Travelling unless you are not supposed to do that does not make you a variant.

Yeah, presumably time travel has always been a standard thing under the TVA paradigm, since it’s entirely built around having an end destination– Kang’s preferred continuity– and working backwards from there to make sure it always happens exactly like that, including all the time travel shenanigans like in Endgame.
