Well, It does go well with the lore that Equestrian Earth ponies are known for both their industious ingenuity and sheer brute streangth. Like the average Earth pony has the combined streangth equivalent to 5 men ( without training ). But that might be also due to being born with much denser muscle fibers. That’s not to say that Unicorns or Pegasi can’t acheive similar results of physical streangth (such as Bulk Biceps) it’s just that Earth ponies are simply born with inate streangth.
