To be fair, these ones are super easy to make since I keep unflattened editable versions of all my pictures. This one was as quick as taking Theme, giving her Twilight’s wings, taking the few stray feathers from here, removing the transparent effect, and recoloring the whole thing :P

I do love dark characters, but they’re not easy to do. It’s hard to make them not look garish and clashing because of the contrast, and this site actually has a bug in its image optimizing that can make images much darker than they’re meant to be. You can see it in action with this picture. The resized version that’s shown at default is distinctly darker than the fullsized version you get from clicking on “VS” :P

It’s honestly not a very time-consuming art style, especially if I’m able to cheat. Like, I hid a lot of detail behind Gilda’s wings and under the blanket to avoid having to draw it, and the nest is actually a fairly undetailed thing when you get right down to it. Also too normally I spend a lot of time mucking around with different colors, seeing how different details might look, and sometimes even decide to change characters completely, while here I just devoted to everything as I went. I should make a video of me doing a picture complete from start to finish, though I have one of me at least doing the digital aspect of a drawing here if you’re interested. It has music if you unmute it too :D

She’s the site’s theme ponified. She looks like the site’s colors, and acts like the site’s direction. Last year she was totally radical and in Windows basic colors, the year before she was a money-grubbing asshole and wore pointless bling that cost real money, the year before that a Commie in all-red, and this year into hardcore uncensored preening :P
