Ah, okay. No one in the comments mentioned what made it semi-grimdark, after all.
It’s semi-grimdark because rarity’s silhouette is hanging on a noose in the background.
Pinkie Pie crying with a bottle of alcohol is safe because it holds no context.
I think it depends on how much force you think rainbow dash kicked her at. in the original, it just looks like fluttershy’s losing her balance, tipping over into the pool. in the second version, it looks like she’s flying forward so fast her hair’s getting blown back. I wouldn’t be surprised if fluttershy doesn’t miss the pool entirely and crashes into the fence on the other side!

I’m sorry but I can’t take it seriously when Fluttershy looks like she’s made of plastic considering her hair somehow doesn’t move at all from being pushed. It’s very static for image supposedly meant to convey momentum.
