Fan death? I never hear that before but now I know it was a Korean rumor. The timer can make people have better quality sleep when the temperature will drop at night. This is a convenient design adapted to different climates at night.

That might be a timer to stop the fan. Maybe has something to do with the “fan death” thing in East Asia?
