Ah damn. I really wanted to ask what’s so offensive about this particular ship. Cute boy and cute girls seems entirely out of what supposed moral guardians would find objectionable. Like, at all. I don’t see a single reason why any of them would start something… with the possible exception of one of them being an interdimensional horse thing. Not like any of those groups would even know, though.

If you think that it’s a joke then clearly you have not seen enough scenarios in different areas of media where things of similar nature have already happened.
 
All forms of media, the people who enjoy that media, and the people who create this media are all equal targets to an incredibly dangerous and increasingly reaching form of guilt by association.
 
It’s happened in the past with music and violence, it continues to happen now with video games and violence. It is not unthinkable to imagine these same moral busy bodies will begin to come for animation one by one. Trying to tie it to more and more serious moral transgressions.
 
DHX doesn’t have a reason to care, they will move onto the next project. Still a small group of individuals who have proven and believe that they alone are the authority on the direction of media the and society will go after anybody, for any reason they can find.

Nope this is the single ship that could turn all parent activist groups against the entire franchise, Hasbro itself, and anybody who enjoys the show.
 
Seriously all that would take is for one considered mothers group to be aware of this pairing, aware of it’s implications, aware that people who support it. And then with today’s climate they could shame Hasbro into completely abandoning and distancing themselves from all of Generation 4.
 
In an insane worst case scenario every single member of the show staff, the voice actors, even the people who write the chapter books and work on the IDW comics would completely disown and disavow the entire fandom and it’s 9 year history.

I like flash and sunset as friends I hope their relationship stays Platonic and doesn’t go past that A guy and girl can be just friends without it becoming romantic. I hope sunset gets a female love interest that be nice too see. I can’t really ship with flash with someone else because i’m Still sad about flash and twilight never becoming a thing. But if they do decide put flash back with his Ex then that’s the writers choice we have no control over that and we just have to accept it and move on. I don’t think they have any plans to put flash with twilight which why they setting up sunset and flash to become a couple again sad but true. 😔 I honestly don’t want that happen but what can do you but that is what fanart and fanfics and the sims are for to have flash and twilight as a couple since it will never happen in canon. Even if flash and sunset become a thing again Flashlight will always remain My OTP.
