Now I finally get all the people who were PO’ed by seeing this or that villain get reformed. Ahuizotl, of all villains?

The way I headcanon it is that the heat was going to be a deterrent to stop further intrusions.
 
The rest you could probably headcanon away as well, but I’m not really analytical enough with the series in order to do so.

Waitaminute.  
Ahuizotl became a supervillain to stop Daring Do and Caballeron from stealing and destroying his ancient temples? Then what was the whole “800 years of blazing heat, courtecy of the rings of scorcheron” thing about? And why did he hire someone he wants to keep away from his temples and he doesn’t trust, to get the last of the rings for him?  
And if Caballerons story is true, DD is also the direct cause of him turning to a life of crime to make ends meet and to save at least something from all those temples she keeps destroying.  
Doesn’t this mean she was actually the badguy all along, forcing the rest into increasingly extreme measures to stop her larceny and vandalism?  
I guess it all makes sense, if we just ignore everything we have seen about all these character until now.
