Something I wrote for school, when I just got off a string of bad luck:
 
“My point is that I don’t think I can have love as I stand now. I do want love, but I have, for the moment, resigned myself to the reality that I cannot have it. I call it being content without being happy; I say to myself that things could be better, but things could be worse, and moving up in life may not be worth the risks. Worried, anxious, and wanting as I am, I fear that trying to change myself will cause pain and suffering to my person; at best, things will get worse before they get better.
 
If you take something out of my story, I would recommend that it be among these conclusions:
 
-Not everyone is ready for love, nor is everyone willing to sacrifice to improve him or herself to get there.  
-Just because you feel you are ready for love doesn’t mean it will work.  
-Do what I cannot; lower your expectations and learn patience.  
-Just because you truly want something doesn’t necessarily mean you deserve it.  
-Learn to be content with what you have, even if you think you should be better off.
 
I am probably not the type that practices what he preaches, so take my words as a cautionary tale. Be better than me.”

The number one thing that could make someone sound like an incel is dehumanizing women and talking about how they are all sluts who sleep with anyone except you… I haven’t seen you do that. ASD definitely does make it harder, but I know plenty of people who are on the spectrum and have loving healthy relationships. Keep an open mind, talk to women who share interests with you, LISTEN to them when they talk to you, and don’t be afraid to flirt sometimes. :)

There’s nothing wrong with holding off, especially in such a period of transition (heh heh, sorry I had to). Plenty of trans people I know did that, and I think it can be healthy to take time for introspection and growth.

That’s good, keep your priorities straight. I personally have Asperger’s, which affects my temper and thought process, so that could also affect how I look for love.

I’m transgender, previously male. I personally won’t be looking for a relationship for a while, I have so much else to deal with that I can’t really imagine trying to deal with someone else right now.

Awwh.. Well, for what it’s worth, nearly every relationship I’ve ever been in has happened completely by accident, including more than one through pony fandom spaces… Don’t give up hope, you’ll find someone sooner or later :)
