I was about 8 or 9 when iron man 1 came out so yeah I kinda grew up with the MCU thus have a bit of a positive bias towards it… and “ATTACKED” seriously? you really have so much against that genre that you say its popularity was an “attack” on cinema? good god… well at least the MCU hasn’t gone in the direction of animated films nowadays… case in point we got atrocities like trolls, ugly dolls, emoji movie and other shitty films no one bothers to see because it’s so shitty. like seriously? not only do ugly dolls get movies in the first place but they aren’t even faithful to the source material(talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel)… and honestly at least marvel has got their game on. I mean the superhero genre was always prevalent(case in point the superman and batman films as well as the old marvel films from before the MCU..) it’s just superhero films have gotten BETTER and portrayed beloved characters in ways that the audience really connects to. it’s not just a money thing, marvel has planned the MCU for so long and honestly with fox the only reason we got Deadpool movies is because people reacted so well to test footage of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, fox was planning on scrapping Deadpool until the community urged them to do it. basically marvel would stop making films if people lost interest but marvel knows how to engage the audience and keep people coming back to a story that has been going on for 11 years and counting and wont end any time soon because as long as there are marvel comics to make movies of marvel studios makes movies.

I guess it’s all just perspective then. Before the superhero genre attacked, we had zombie films, zombie films, zombie films. They were so prevalent that people got sick of them. It’s just a cycle Hollywood gets where they get the latest thing and drive it into the ground until no one is willing to pay money for it anymore, then they move on to the next thing.

It may be 2 to 3 movies a year but they are damn good ones…i may be a little biased because the MCU was part of my childhood but I remember when the first iron man film came out, that was the very start of the MCU and honestly if you spent a good part of your childhood watching these films with unmatched excitement and watching the pieces fall into place over 22 films preparing for what is close to being the biggest film ever, im pretty sure you would have diferent views… Just saying if you want to understand the hype behind it all you have a LOT of homework to do… About 22 movies worth… Not saying you have to do it but it would certainly change your perspective if you decided to go on the same journey us marvel fans went on since 2008

That’s the issue here. Between 2 movies a year and 2-3 TV series running at any one time, Marvel has done a good bit of the saturation, but coming as it did on the heels of Nolan’s Dark Knight, and with DC doing their own thing as well now, it’s gotten a little much.

I think the “saturation” is simply the fact that marvel has been building a super ambitious cinematic universe since 2008 and endgame being the culmination of 11 years of buildup across 21 films all leading to endgame to end the infinity saga and begin the cosmic saga(most likely to introduce galactus..). you can kind of understand how it got huge…

I can and am. The saturation of TV and cinema by the superhero genre has filled me with apathy toward it. I’m even left hoping they may get back to the zombie genre just for something bucking different (and given the saturation that had before superheroes got big, that’s saying something).

Well, all the stones but one appeared before Infinity War. Pretty much every macguffin has turned out to be one.
 
(Also, Ma3a is right: Marvel movie marathon sounds like fun! But if you don’t want to - though I can’t imagine not wanting to - you should least see Infinity War before Endgame. Without spoiling anything, let’s just say there’s a reason Endgame’s working title was “Infinity War: Part 2” for the longest.)

you haven’t even seen infinity war yet? jesus you need to catch up! first things first go somewhere that sells movies to get a copy of infinity war or go on Netflix and watch infinity war… and then go buy tickets for endgame and go see it because that is vital for anything infinity stone related… basically you have a shit-ton of marvel homework to do(marvel movie marathon)

ok so I can provide images of each stone as well as explanations as to what they do in order to avoid spoilers, of course your part in this is giving them life as a pony character in the true badumsquish style(including porn of them at some point)
 
power:  
responsible for all the energy in the universe as well as controlling it’s flow, can be harnessed to increase it’s user’s natural strength and durability exponentially as well as give MASSIVE buffs to the other stones(it is arguably the most important) also grants the user infinite control over energy flow in the universe.
 
space:  
responsible for giving form to space as we know it, allows distance to be a thing, can control density, gravity and the fabric of space itself, allows the user to manipulate the very fabric of space including folding space together to form portals, collapse things into black holes, and other things related to space manipulation.
 
reality:  
responsible for matter existing. it controls the fabric of reality itself and allows it’s user to alter reality to how they see fit changing matter or creating new matter or destroying it to fit it’s user’s will, it allows the laws of physics to exist as we know them and is arguably one of the more entertaining stones out of the 6, also changes made with the reality stone are temporary(or illusion) unless used in conjunction with the power stone to impart energy into the new matter(or remove energy) to make it permanent
 
soul:  
the collective essence of all souls in the cosmos as well as life force, it is responsible for consciousness as a base concept of a spirit inhabiting a body it controls traits of an individual’s base personality. the soul stone also allows the user to see all living souls, trap them in the stone, drain life force, revive deceased individuals or conjure their spiritual essence, as well as control over all life in the universe and other things connected to one’s consciousness or life force also it can allow it’s user to ALTER souls to how the user sees fit which is honestly what makes the soul stone arguably the SCARIEST and most dangerous stone out of the 6 because of how it can affect people.
 
time:  
this one is pretty self explanatory, it is the cosmic clock that allows time to run. the time stone controlls the rate and even DIRECTION of time’s passage allowing it’s user to fast forward, or rewind or even pause time, the control over time is also risky as it can create timeline branches, paradoxes, unstable dimensional openings, time loops, alternate realities. it is one of the more important stones given it’s connection to everything and it allowing things to change.
 
mind:  
as the collective of all minds in the universe this one is what allows advanced aspects of life as what we call “sentience” these aspects are intelligence, emotion, wisdom, fortitude, empathy, sympathy, loyalty, and allegience, morality, and other aspects of the mind. it not only allows them to exist but also can control these aspects allowing one to see into minds to read them as easy as a book, or alter an individual’s mindstate and who they consider allies or enemies, it can be used to force emotions or thoughts into an individual, essentially it is advanced mind control telepathy that is way more effective, using the mind stone with the power stone makes the changes made to a mind permanent, the stone can also be used to enhance intelect or drain it, or even destroy minds altogether.
 
 
together the 6 infinity stones are the root of all creation and a source of limitless power/control over everything for those who collect all 6 stones… now that you know basically what each stone does you can decide if you want to make ponies based on the 6 infinity stones because I am really interested to see what your take on them would be and what they would look like or what their personalities would be…

Well technically infinity stone ponies wouldnt really be endgame spoilers because in chronological order of stone debuts… The space stone was introduced in the first captain America film(tesseract), the mind stone showed up in the avengers(the scepter) the reality stone made its debut in thor a dark world(the aether), the power stone first appeared in guardians of the galaxy vol.1(in the orb), the time stone made its first appearance in doctor strange(in the eye of agamotto), and the soul stone debuted in infinity war(on vormir) everyone by now knows all 6 stones were in the gauntlet by the end of infinity war(hence the snap) so by movie progression there would be no endgame spoilers
