I learned about this map through Deviantart first (my DA account is... maybe two years older than my Derpibooru account), and I know the artist originally meant to use it for a fantasy adventure fic that never actually got off the ground.


 
That said, this is a pretty old map (August 2011, and there's early drafts from earlier still) and a _*very_* popular one, too. There's quite a lot of fan maps that use it as a base, reference and/or inspiration, and it's been used in a lot of fics, too (the first one I read that used it was a Discord/Celestia shipping fix on DA, _"[Those Violet Eyes":](https://frustratedinexcelsis.deviantart.com/art/Those-Violet-Eyes-Part-1-287094611_), and there's plenty more besides that).


 
So I wouldn't be surprised at all if there's one or more pornographic stories that also use this map, but that wasn't what it was originally developed for.
