when you think about it, the anti-haters are just haters who don’t know when to quit… just of the haters. it’s all relative
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Edited
And for haters, not knowing when to quit is the problem to them.
that may be, but the characters i hate are free to stop sucking whenever they want and yet they persist to suck. really it’s their fault when you think about it ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Hating a character is bad enough, hating a character for so many years is even worst, and can get annoying.
i think i could be more accurately described as a “hater” than anyone else current in this thread. personally i don’t like the term; i feel like if one can’t explain why someone is wrong about hating a character without making it about them on a personal level then one doesn’t have justification to call them wrong in the first place.

@DanielTepesKraus
I certainly am not a hater, in case you’re wondering.
(shrugs) what else is anon for, if not to post things that won’t be publicly associated with your account?
as for meanness and rule-breaking, as-anon meanness and rule-breaking will be treated exactly the same as named meanness and rule-breaking.
@sTs
given how people can act at times with opinions about some characters i wholly understand why people would want to anonymously give opinions sometimes. raise your hand if you’re a regular in the unpopular opinion thread and know exactly how salty some people get about opinions (raises hand).
really, the only time we’ll crack down on that kind of thing is sockpuppeting. for example, if you alternate between anon and named posts to sound like more than one person in one thread you’ll get cracked down on fairly quickly, but even then you’ll be told privately via a pm. it’s only repeated or especially egregious cases of sockpuppeting that get called out publicly. believe it or not, we occasionally get people actually arguing with themselves for whatever ridiculous reason, like a user will publicly say they like a character and reply to themselves, as anon, to be like “you’re stupid that character sucks”.
And it got me thinking, if a character hater remains anonymous and say things about a certain character, they think that they won’t be seen by anyone, not even by the site staff, which I believe they’re wrong about.
And about that last sentence, I think “and/or” would make sense in it.

Well, it depends.
Seeing as the mods see them anyway…
I made my feels known recently due to an almost re-laspe of a crisis of confidence in myself and wouldn’t have said anything unless the anon ability was there.
I didn’t use it as an attack or to be mean, I just didnt want the site to know at the time I was on the verge of completely breaking down.
I was intending to do this after the collab, but i may as well say it now.
Sorry @Cyan Lightning, I didn’t mean to put you on the spot or anything.
The point is don’t go anon to be mean or to break the rules.
32 actually, for me I’m doing the best I can do ramain good.
not really. there’s only 30-something people on this site who can see such things out of a userbase of over a quarter million registered users and countless anons.
@sTs
we look out for the good users, keep the order, and scare off the bad users. even then we’re pretty lenient.
I guess being anonymous is kinda pointless anyway.
@Zeb
I thought you mods were supposed to keep us in order, not scare us off(just saying, nothing judgemental).

Always. Watching.

i understand. sad to say it really is the nature of the internet these days. if you want we have a privacy policy that tells you exactly what information the site collects and why.
@Background Pony #5893
i wouldn’t say “watched”; more like “the mods are capable of associating a post with it’s anon user if they so feel”.

@DanielTepesKraus
(Shaking jaw) even when I’m anonymous, I’m still however being watched
Heh… Thanks for that. Readin through it again I found this giving me a chuckle~

That kinda makes me feel safer whilst at the same time, being nervous as well.

none taken. it’s just moderators and above who can see it (not site assistants), and it’s purely an act of necessity. we’re not sitting here spying on everyone or anything like that, we just need to be able to know who actually uploaded something for dealing with reports, merges, rule-breaking, stuff like that. it’s just something rule-breakers and trolls would take advantage of if we couldn’t see such things, so it’s a lesser of two evils kind of deal.
I thought being anonymous means that no one can see who uploaded, not even the mods(no offense).
yep. being a mod is like having the shinigami eyes. you see necessary info to use our tools, but it cuts your lifespan in half.
