For Trixie Day 2018 I drew this little scene.
With her outfit and difficulties to perform actual magic Trixie is pretty much begging to be put into the place of the Sorcerer’s apprentice of the famous poem by Goethe (made known in the English speaking world mostly through Mickey Mouse playing that role in Fantasia). The discorded broomstick floating in the teacup based flood is another reference to that poem. The teapot pouring out over Starlight (protected by Twilight’s spell) is another case of Trixie messing up Twilight’s tableware and I leave it to the viewer to decide whether it was well intended or mischievous mocking on Trixie’s part ;-)

She could very well be. However, I believe that with all the chaos Twilight has experienced throughout her adventures she probably wouldn’t be as upset about it anymore as she would have been in the first seasons and especially not if she knows that Starlight can probably fix this without lasting damage.
If Trixie had flooded the library instead of the kitchen I reckon Twilight would be less relaxed ;)
Thank you very much, Background Pony #413D :)
I’m going to correct it.
