Uh-oh. In this bird guide the plumages suddenly got mixed up!
Looking at that image, I would call it a blue dress with black trim.
All the black elements appear to be lace trim, and thus I would not consider it to be the base colour.
Looks clearer than most pictures of it.
I think this is the dress in question.

oh yeah now I remember, so weird that they used the same models later in the ep as there canon colors. I wonder if that was a accident?

I see it as B&B as well. Best part is that it’s apparently neither of those combos, though I forget what the actual combination was.
I remember that dress. I always though the debate was about if it was a blue dress with black stripes or a black dress with blue stripes. Didn’t know there was supposed to be a white and gold alternate view for it.
So I suppose that means I see it as blue and black.
Archer was a background appearance in the Perfect Stallion song, and Hopper never appeared a second time, according to this site.

“Scoota-blue” was later dubbed Archer due to her cutie mark.
“Greenie Belle” was given the fan names Sun Glimmer and Star Hopper.
Archer showed up in later episodes, but I don’t think “Greenie Belle” had more than this one appearance.
Wow, you learn something new each day then, also I just LOVE how Scootaloo and Sweetie-Belle were able to pull one over on Pinkie Pie and Applebloom like that, it was just PERFECT.
There was an actual dress photo circulating the net a few years ago. Depending on your eye it would look either white and gold or blue and black. There is, of course, a wiki page on it. Which means it must be true!

It was an interesting study in human nature. People couldn’t just accept that their eyes behaved differently. There were arguments over it.
