The fact they just kinda randomly pick which ending is “canon” is really confusing.
Could’ve leave it up to interpretations…
Like showing Shining City moving without using any methods from All the World’s Off Stage.
Showcasing any scenes in the slide show from the “beginning” of any CYOA shorts in Happily Ever After Party instead of the endings.
IMO, this is not how you should approach CYOAs. Your choices should be contained inside one short. If you need it to have some consequences down the road, just make it one short with a decision tree.

Me too and I highly doubt they animated a whole EG intro/opening (leaked) just for the upcoming 44-minute specials.
I would like Equestria Girls to continue after G4, in a series of 22 minutes for each episode.With each episode involving a self-contained story(Daily Life and Villain of The Week) while contributing to a larger storyline(Big Bad of the season)
If that ended up warranting an episodic EG series, I’m in!!!
Yeah, I didn’t include all of the endings appearing in other shorts.

That doesn’t make any sense when there are relatively important events like Sunset passing her driving test
And there’s nothing that would really suggest non-canonicity like the bloopers have
So none of it is canon technically
