Toilet humor? Pf! Lots and lots and lots and lots of it, even from the finest mangakas. And it was funny to me… Except for the booger jokes. Yikes…
For example, on Toriyama’s Dr. Slump, there was an absolutely hilarious episode where Arale-chan (you must have seen her if you watch Dragon Ball Super), a good-meaning android that would put Pinkie Pie to shame when it comes to irrational happiness, and no, I’m not exaggerating, has a gas problem and ends up accidentally but happily flying with her farts, which were unleashed by her creator-brother’s mistake.
Manga was seriously like that in the 1980s?
