It was literally planned from the beginning. Specifically giving her wings, maybe not, but it was her character arc the entire time. It was deliberate. They just satisfied that arc in a way that opened up more opportunities for storytelling instead of ending the show. (Which, if you weren’t aware, was a serious possibility they were facing with the half-sized season 3 being potentially the end of the show)

It’s a modifier key; it’s only meant to do something in combination with a second key press. No wonder nothing happens.
