Not necessarily true, though. As far as we can tell, the EQG movies and FiM are separate, with EQG referencing a version of FiM that shares some continuities, and which may or may not be part of the show.

That wouldn’t even work because of the shitty previous love relationship. We already know she has a shallow love for him based on looks, so a non-romantic relationship is impossible without 500% cringe and crippled episodes.
True, but Flash would give the writers the opportunity to have him and Twi develop a friendship, and be one of the few non-romantic male/female friendships in children media. Plus, the Flash-haters foaming at the mouth would be great to witness.
