Perhaps, but as we saw in Royal Problem Celestia may well be limiting herself. Needing help so often may be something she sees as a strength and a way to keep herself from being corrupted by her position. She’s very much a pony-oriented sort who dislikes doing things on her own as well.

Another guy and myself have been asking about that since the events of the Season 6 finale. Could Chrysalis’ second attempt at taking Equestria cause Celestia to begin doubting herself as to whether she can still protect her and Luna’s kingdom when they’ve been outsmarted and overwhelmed several times now by the likes of Chrysalis, Discord, and Lord Tirek?

I love seeing Celly and Luna be affectionate with each other.

though i would like that in season 8 we start seeing Celestia cast in doubt. she protected the land for a millennia. but she has failed and faltered so much in the last few years, it has to have impacted her.
