The color scheme and the rest of the kit appears similar enough that you could say it’s “inspired” by that car, if you prefer to nitpick.
Han: if you like it so much, why not ask to drive it?
look closer and you’ll notice the RX-7’s wing missing
the Tokyo Drift RX-7, as everybody knows, has a medium sized black wing
p.s: anybody notice that the 2 cars (RX-7 and Roadrunner) are used/appear in the Fast and the Furious?
the RX-7 is in Tokyo Drift, obviously, and Letty drives a Runner in Furious 4, before (falsely) being murdered and getting retconned in Furious 6
Orange/Black car: Mazda RX-7. Specifically the Veilside Fortune FD3S, as made famous by Tokyo Drift.
Black/dark gray car: 1970 Plymouth Midsize coupe (Roadrunner/GTX/belvedere) The side scallop was only offered that model year, from the looks of it.
