Twitter saves images as JPEG with some minor lossy compression, while the DA image is the PNG the artist actually exported from their program.

The actual difference was negligible and practically only visible to us with tools, but it was there. In addition, halting the spread of JPGs is a Good Thing, as most every site applies its own lossy compression on them, resulting in there eventually being copies out there that have noticeable compression artifacts.
